Our Statement of Faith

“My Christian Radio WMYC” strives to be an “Inter-denominational” Radio Station, meaning that we share and hold to what has been held in common over the centuries with all Bible believing Christians. Below you will find our Statement of Faith, along with the Apostle’s Creed, and the Nicene Creed.

We accept the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the written Word of God. We believe in the divine inspiration, entire trustworthiness and final authority of the Bible in all matters of faith and practice.

We celebrate:

    1. The triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
    2. The incarnate Son: Jesus Christ, fully God, fully man.
    3. The goodness and beauty of the world, created and sustained by the Word of God’s power.
    4. Salvation by grace received through faith in Jesus Christ, who alone,
    5. through His life, death and bodily resurrection, redeems us from sin and
    6. reconciles us unto God.
    7. The essential unity of all believers, who together form one Church,
    8. diverse in form and expression, of which Christ is the Head.
    9. The continuing ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who empowers the worship,
    10. service and witness of God’s people in all their activities.
    11. The ultimate deliverance of the children of God and of all nature from
    12. the destructive consequences of the Fall.

We further confess the historic statements of the Apostles’ and Nicene Creeds:

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth: and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead, He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic* (Christian) Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

The Nicene Creed

I believe in one God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible; And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of His Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light; Very God of Very God; begotten, not made; being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made; Who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven; and was incarnate by the Holy Ghost of the Virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate. He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven; and sitteth on the right hand of the Father, and He shall come again with glory to judge both the quick and the dead; Whose kingdom shall have no end’.

And I believe in the Holy Ghost; the Lord and Giver of Life; Who proceedeth from the Father and the Son; Who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified; Who spake by the prophets. And I believe in one holy catholic* (Christian) and apostolic Church. I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins. And I look for the resurrection of the dead; and the life of the world to come. Amen.

*In both the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed, the word “catholic” does not refer to any specific church body or denomination, the word “catholic” simply means “universal” or as the scripture teaches “The faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” (Jude 1:3).
